A DRIVER is believed to have suffered a medical episode before crashing into Domino's Pizza in Evesham.

Seven people were hurt with the elderly driver and female passenger taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital.

Fire crews, police and ambulances were called to High Street in Evesham at 12.37pm yesterday (Wednesday, August 9).

A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "It is believed the driver of the BMW suffered a medical episode before the collision.

"Two people were taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital for further treatment.

"No arrests have been made."

A spokesperson for Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said: “Crews from Evesham and Broadway Fire Stations attended the High Street with supporting appliances not required.

“A car had hit a restaurant with two other vehicles involved.

“The vehicles were made safe and the incident was left with the police by the final crew at 1.49pm.”

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said a man and a woman were taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital.

They said: "We were called at around 12.40pm to reports of an RTC on High Street in Evesham.

"Three ambulances and a paramedic officer were sent to the scene where, on arrival, crews found one car had come off the road and crashed into a building.

"The driver, a man, and a female passenger were treated for injuries not believed to be serious by ambulance staff and were both conveyed to Worcestershire Royal Hospital for further treatment."
