BREDON Hill Middle School's girls football squad topped the South Worcestershire Under-13s League.

They needed a draw from their last game to clinch the title and a 2-2 scoreline against Simon-de-Montfort proved sufficient for the girls to start celebrating after a season of matches against opponents from Evesham and Malvern.

Captain Georgie McGorrigan and Zoe Pygott scored most of the goals that spearheaded the side's rise to the summit.
